IPL 2023: Mumbai Indians Vs Royal Challengers Bangalore, 54th match of IPL
Rohit Sharma Vs Virat Kohli, Another High scoring thriller at Wankhede Stadium?, Pitch Report, Playing 11
The 54th Match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023, will be played between Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers Bangalore at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai on 9th May. It will be a great battle as both the teams are in the same position after playing 10 matches and have won 5 out of it and the team winning here will go up in the table will have relief but the other will be in trouble as they have to win all their remaining matches to qualify for the playoffs. Mumbai Indians lost again, against Chennai Super Kings as Rohit Sharma's poor season continued, on batting first scored 139 runs out of which 64 runs were scored by Nehal Wadhera who was playing in place of Tilak Verma. For the bowlers the score was not enough but Piyush Chawla is having an amazing season for the Mumbai Indians as he picked up 2 wickets again in the middle overs but Mumbai Indians bowling is a reason for concern. On the other hand Royal Challengers Bangalore too lost their previous match against Delhi Capitals as on batting first scored 181 runs, their opening partnership of Virat Kohli and FaF Du Plessis is their strength and again they scored 82 runs for the first wicket and later Mahipal Lomror with his first fifty in the IPL at a strike rate of 186. In bowling RCB strength was Mohammad Siraj who picked up minimum of 1 wicket in every match that RCB has played but this time he was unable to do and later also in middle overs spinners leaked runs as Delhi Capitals chased down the target inside 17 overs, it was a poor bowling effort from the side they need to turn up or else it will be too late.
