IPL 2022: SRH Vs MI, Sunrisers win the match by 3 runs.

The Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) won their sixth TATA Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 match, defeating the Mumbai Indians (MI) by three runs on Tuesday at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.

Rahul Tripathi's blistering 76(44) propelled SRH to 193/6 before Bhuvneshwar Kumar's superb wicket-maiden penultimate over secured a three-run victory. MI openers Rohit Sharma and Ishan Kishan got off to a solid start, chasing 194 to win after the MI skipper bludgeoned three sixes inside the powerplay. With four fours, Kishan commended the MI skipper well, and MI was 51/0 at the end of six overs. MI was cruising at 89/0 at the midway point as Umran Malik bowled the 9th over for 17 runs. After Rohit blasted out to the deep, Washington Sundar delivered the opening stroke for SRH. Umran Malik struck out Kishan in the second over of his spell, dismissing both set hitters. Malik took two more wickets in the 15th over, reducing the equation to 67 off 30 when both Tilak Varma and Daniel Sams returned to the pavilion. Tristan Stubbs was thrown out in the 17th over, but Tim David kept MI's chase hopes alive by requiring 45 off 18 deliveries. David smashed four sixes in the 18th over but was run out on the last delivery. After Bhuvneshwar Kumar bowled an excellent wicket-maiden penultimate over, SRH successfully defended the goal and won by three runs. Previously, Priyam Garg and Fazal Farooqi were named in the eleven for SRH, who were put in to bat first. Sanjay Yadav's eighth over produced 15 runs, ending the duo's fifty-run partnership. Ramandeep Singh ended the hazardous 78-run stand by scooping a catch off his own delivery to eliminate Garg. In the 18th over, Ramandeep Singh took two more wickets to eliminate Tripathi and Markram. SRH concluded with a first-innings total of 193/6 after Bumrah castled Sundar on the penultimate delivery.
