IPL 2022: GT Vs LSG, Gujrat Titans wins the match

GT qualifies for the Tata IPL 2022 playoffs

After defeating the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) by 62 runs on Tuesday at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune, the Gujarat Titans (GT) became the first side to qualify for the TATA Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 playoffs.

After a 62-run triumph, Shubman Gill's undefeated half-century and Rashid Khan's superb four-wicket haul secured GT a position in the playoffs.
LSG openers KL Rahul and Quinton de Kock were conservative with the bat as they chased 145 for the win.
De Kock hit the first six of the innings, but he was caught inside the circle off the bowling of Yash Dayal. Shami then took the wicket of the LSG captain in the fifth over.
GT was in dire straits after rookie Karan Sharma was caught at a third man short. Rashid Khan hit soon after being put to the attack following Krunal Pandya's stumping. After Sai Kishore took his first IPL wicket to dismiss Ayush Badoni, Saha recorded the second stumping of the innings.
After losing the wickets of Marcus Stoinis and Jason Holder, GT was 7 down. While Stonis was run-out following a mix-up in the middle, Holder was caught LBW off Rashid Khan's delivery.
Previously, GT, which chose to bat first, made three changes: Matthew Wade, Sai Kishore, and Yash Dayal were appointed to the squad.
GT reached 144/4 in the first innings thanks to three important fours from Rahul Tewatia in the final over.
