RCB have kept skipper Faf Du Plessis, star batter Virat Kohli, all-rounder Glenn Maxwell, wicketkeeper-batter Dinesh Karthik, and pace spearhead Mohammed Siraj among the 18 players from their IPL 2023 lineup.

Apart from the retentions, the Bangalore-based franchise, which has yet to win the title in 16 attempts, has also acquired Australian all-rounder Cameron Green from the Mumbai Indians in a cash-only exchange for Rs 17.50 crore.

Meanwhile, RCB released bowling attack first-choice picks Wanindu Hasaranga, Harshal Patel, and Josh Hazlewood over the last two seasons. RCB discharged eight other players, including four overseas stars, in addition to the three who freed up around Rs 30 crore.
