The Prolific batter of Mumbai, Sarfaraz Khan, suffered from a finger injury at the Delhi Capitals camp and was ruled out of Irani Cup. In this, he was represented as the Rest of India. He also skipped the practice match on Sunday at Eden Gardens. The Irani Cup will be going to start in Gwalior in time of two days after this practice match. By injury, Sarfaraz was wearing a protective finger fibre cast and unable to bat or field for a whole day. During that time, he helps his teammates by serving energy drinks. Teammates of Sarfaraz, and Prithvi Shaw, were doing their best in the practice game as they made hits in delightful strokes in the park where the mentor Sourav Ganguly and assistant coach Praveen Amre were also present. However, shaw left the ground after a session of batting and rushed to the airport to take a Bengaluru-bound flight. He is expected to report at camp to the NCA.

Out from the Indian team and unable to play domestic cricket because of injury, veteran pacer Ishant Sharma looked from sorts in a practice game. In this practice match, he is the bowler of both teams. He only played one Ranji Trophy game this year and was come outside strain for the season's remainder. 

He made the long chats with Ganguly, Kolkata Knight Riders teammate and former national, amidst deliveries. 

The length of the run-up looked at same, but the bustling strides before missing load up, and it needed huge efforts from Ishant to put it behind deliveries.  He was negotiated easily by batters. With a month remaining for battle, Ishant was required to put in a tough yard as he made look away from match ready at a point in time.
