Pat Cummins, the Australia captain, will miss the third test against India because of staying home in Sydney due to family reasons. Cummins left India after some hours after losing the second test loss in Delhi and flew to Sydney to be with his mother when she is ill. First, He returned to India and joined the indoor match team on Sunday instead of the third test, starting on Wednesday. But later, he decides to remain at home in Sydney with his family. I am against coming back to India to join the match team when my mother is ill, Cummins said. I appreciate the support that I  received from the Australian cricket team and my teammates. Thanks for understanding this situation. This is also the words of Cummins. The vice caption of the test, steven smith, led the side in Indore, India. Smith has stood by Cummins two times in test matches since the fast bowler took his captaincy. Cummins was captain of the Australian ODI team in the three-match series that followed the test series, but it appears that he will return to India for the test series.

Mitchell starc is the best fit to join the Indore test series team after recovering from a finger injury. The Australia ODI team also has lance morris and Scott Boland as fast bowling options. Boland played with Cummins in Nagpur's first test but was squeezed out in Delhi. Morries was a chance to go home to play some domestic cricket, but they stayed in India as cover for Pat Cummins. Mitchell Swepson, the legspinner, returns to the squad after flying home at the time of the second test on the birth of his first child. Cameron Green also declared himself fit for this test series after playing in Delhi. David warner, josh hazlewood, and ashton agar also flew home due to various reasons this week, but still, the Australia team did not add any more players because selectors think that there is enough  cover for the final two test series
