Rohit Sharma Vs Andre Russell, Pitch Report, Playing 11
The 22nd Match of the Indian Premier League(IPL) 2023, will be played between Mumbai Indians and Kolkata Knight Riders at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai on 16th April.
Mumbai Indians finally won their first game of this season, IPL. In the previous match on bowling first Jason Behrendoff and Piyush Chawla both picked up 2 wickets each as Mumbai Indians restricted Delhi to 172 runs, In the second innings Openers provided a good start and Rohit Sharma 65 runs knock put MI in a good position later Tilak Verma also scored 41 runs but at the end it was a close match but Cameron Green 17 runs in 8 balls was vital as Mumbai Indians won the match in the last ball. On the other hand Kolkata Knight Riders lost their previous match as on bowling first at the Eden Gardens which was a good batting surface, bowlers conceded 228 runs, Andre Russell looked good with the ball as he took 3 wickets but in the end got injured. To chase such a big target it was needed a good start but KKR lost 3 wickets in just 20 runs on the board but then their Captain Nitish Rana played a good knock under pressure of 75 runs alongside Rinku Singh was once again brilliant as he scored his first fifty in the IPL but it wasn't sufficient as the target was huge and KKR lost the match by 23 runs. For Kolkata Knight Riders the good thing is that in the last 3 matches they have scored over 200 runs in each innings.

In the previous match at Wankhede we expected a high scoring encounter as it was the first game of this IPL but it wasn't as spinners were dominating the game as they were getting a turn and it was more favorable to the bowlers. But this is a day game and the match will be played on the new surface. If yes than we can expect a good scoring encounter.
