The 40th Match of the Indian Premier League(IPL) 2023, will be played between Delhi Capitals and Sunrisers Hyderabad at Arun Jaitley Stadium, Delhi on 29th April. So this is a reverse fixture as both the teams played there last match against each other only and Delhi Capitals were able to win that match as on batting first Delhi scored 144 runs, Manish Pandey and Axar Patel were the highest scorer with 34 runs each, For Hyderabad Bhuneshwar Kumar picked up 2 wickets but it was Washington Sundar who was brilliant in the 8th over where he picked up 3 wickets in that over but Hyderabad will miss his service as due to injury he has been ruled out of this season IPL. In the second innings Mayank Agarwal was good with his 49 runs knock and later Henrich Klaseen tried to attack in the end but Anrich Nortje who picked up 2 wickets and Mukesh Kumar in the last over was able to defend 13 runs as Delhi Capitals won the match by 7 runs. For Hyderabad their batting hasn't been consistent and hasn't fired up apart from that Harry Brook Hundred their batting have not looked good and attacking. For Delhi Capitals their bowling have started to perform good as a team and in result they have won 2 consecutive matches.
