The atmosphere of the Australian cricket team changed in the form of dramatic fashion in just two days of Test cricket.  They did not only bounce back in Border Gavaskar Trophy but sealed the spot in the WTC finals.  In today's championship test, the Australian team finished at the top of the standings and now won 11 of the total 18 tests in the current period.  This win helps the team to gather 68.52 WTC points, which ensures the top place in the fourth Test against the India team.  A win in the final Test is enough for a team of Rohit Sharma’s to book the match date with Australia.

Sri Lanka is also present in the race for the WTC finals, and they play against the New Zealand team in 2nd test match series.  The Sri Lanka team will be eligible if they win 2-0 and India lose or draw the Ahmedabad Test.

If 1-0 are won by Sri Lanka, then the Indians will qualify, no matter whether they win or lose the 4th Test.  If the series between sri lanka and New Zealand ends in a 1-1 draw, India will still qualify in this situation also.  In this case, the new Zealand team will be out of the WTC finals race.

Australia Make it 2-1

By facing loss from the first two tests inside the three days in India, the Australia team is still at risk of losing another series when they reach Indore.  The losing toss by the team made the pitch that was going to progressively become the worse situation for batting the only step to take in this direction.

But Matthew Kuhnemann generated the memorable show with a five-wicket haul in only the second test innings to bowl out India for 109 runs before the half-century made by Usman Khawaja.

Then, it was the time for the seasoned Nathan Lyon to take a step up.  The right office will be finished with the eight wickets haul, including the prized scalp of cheteshwar pujari on 59 against the India team to 163 with the Australia team that requires 76 runs to win the finals.
