New Zealand ends the hope of Sri Lanka to become qualified in the ICC world test championship 2023 finals after sealing to last ball and two-wicket win in Christ church. As Kane Williamson scurried to run in the winning match bye off the final ball, their win quashed the hope of Sri Lanka to finish the top two positions in the ICC world test championship standings, with the set of India team to play Australia team in the final at the oval in London, scheduled from 7 June to 11 June. 

Earlier in Christchurch, on a dramatic day, the rain added uncertainty in New Zealand, and Sri Lanka battled in the first test. The multiple facts appeared equally at several points. 

They require 257 runs with 9 wickets on a truncated day. NZ started to circumspect fashion before Daryl Mitchell, and Kane Williamson accelerated.
